Readers of Conde Nast Traveler magazine (U.S.) ranked ancient city in central Vietnam into second place in the list of the most popular destinations in Asia

Specifically, the 112 year old hotel Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi ranked fifth in the top 25 hotels in Southeast Asia. Park Hyatt Saigon, Sofitel Plaza Hanoi Sofitel Saigon Plaza is also located in this top.
Meanwhile, The Nam Hai resort was voted one of the top ten resorts in Asia, up from 14th place ranking last year. No other resort in Vietnam shortlisted this. The magazine's poll attracted almost 80,000 participants with 1.3 million votes for 16,000 hotels and resorts were nominated for awards this year. Last year, just over 46,000 readers participated.
This is the 26th poll after poll first began in 1988. Electing this year are made through a secure site, and the votes are categorized by Equation Research. Readers evaluate candidates according to the criteria on a scale of five. Hotels and resorts have received the minimum number of votes eligible for the award.
