Day 1: Phnom Penh – Kep (-,L,-)
8:00 pick up at your hotel for a private transfer to Kep. On the way to Kampot Province you will visit sights such as Ta Prohm and Yeay Peau temples, Phnom Chisor, Angkor Borei, and Phnom Da. You will stay at the beach front Knai Bang Chatt Resort where you can relax, unwind, recharge and rejuvenate. (Villa 12 is recommended)
Day 2: Kep – Koh Tonsai (Rabbit Island) – Kep (B,L-)
In the morning you will discover Kep's teeming crab market before you hop on a boat for a 30-minute ride to Rabbit Island (Koh Tonsai), where secluded white sandy beaches, coconut trees, and a variety of sea coral await you. You will be free to explore this wonderful tropical island and have a sea food lunch while there. You can trek along the island's trail, ocean kayak, enjoy a beach massage or just rest and relax in this paradise. At 3 pm you will take a boat back to the resort in Kep. And note, some serious real estate developments are on the way, so hurry and enjoy the most authentic moments of this truly relaxing getaway off Cambodia's coast.
Day 3: Trekking in the Kep National Park (B,L-)
You will enjoy a half day excursion to the Kep National Park which was established in 1993 and covers 28 square kilometers of lush forest and hills. The 8 kilometers of mountain trail through the National Park is definitely good for nature lovers. Do not expect to see many animals as they do not want to seen by humans, but the plantations such as cashew, jackfruit, papaya, mango, dragon fruit are beautiful. There are benches along the trail and at the viewing points to relax for a while and enjoy the sounds and smell of nature. This 2.5 hour trek is an easy nature walk for everybody and you will discover this natural oasis before it gets more developed. You will drive back to your resort for the rest of afternoon and be free to visit the swimming pool and beach or go sailing if you desire. A cooking class can also be arranged for an additional charge.
Day 4: Kep – Bokor Hill Station – Sihanoukville (B,L-)
On your way to Sihanoukville, you will spend some time at imposing Bokor Mountain. Bokor Hill Station was a French colonial village. The remains of the old church and police station can still be seen today. You will drive to Sihanoukville for a restful night on the Sokha Beach Resort and discover Khmer hospitality with world-class service. You can explore the private, pristine, white sand beach, which stretches out over 1.5 kilometres. You will enjoy sunset cocktails at the Deck Bar and dine in style at Lemon Grass to complete a beautiful day.
Day 5: Sihanoukville (B,L-)
Today you will have a day tour to Ream National Park. The park is home to a number of rare birds and animals. You will take a boat ride and walk for one hour in the park. Be prepared for monkeys, mouse deer and pangolin! You will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant on the remote beach and you can swim here before driving back to Sihanoukville.
Day 6: Sihanoukville (B,-,-)
You will have a totally free day to relax on the beach, swim in the clear waters and enjoy the peace of the area. Sihanoukville, also known as Kampong Som, is a province of Cambodia on the Gulf of Thailand. This port city is a growing Cambodian urban center, located 185 kilometers (115 miles) southwest of the Cambodian capital, Phnom Penh. Surrounded by white sand beaches and undeveloped tropical islands, Sihanoukville is the epicenter of beach life in Cambodia.
Day 7: Sihanoukville – Phnom Penh (B,L-)
The journey to Phnom Penh takes about four hours and leads back via Pich Nil. The location is marked by dozens of spirit houses lining the road. Most of them are maintained for Yay Mao (Lady Mao). She is the deity that oversees the southern coastal region of Cambodia. Let the warm and pleasant sea breezes of the Cambodian Riviera embrace you. If your next destination is Siem Reap, we will drive you to the Sihanoukville airport or you can drive back to Phnom Penh for your onward flight home.
