According to ACV- Airports Corporation of Vietnam, A Hall of Ho Chi Minh airport was in use on 21 Apr, 2014. This hall is designed for doing procedure for Vietnam domestic flights of two airlines operators Vietjet air and Jetstar pacific. It is located between old domestic terminal and international terminal. This new extended checking area has a capacity of 5 million passengers per year.
This is a part of a project to repair and expand the domestic terminal of Tan Son Nhat International airport. The old procedure area will be repaired and reconstructed and into operation in next 4 months. It is expected that the expansion of the domestic terminal of Tan Son Nhat airport to welcome 70-90 more domestic flights and 30 international flights to Vietnam every day .
